Browsers Continue To Add Warnings About Insecure Content.
Firefox 52 is out now, and with a new release comes a new warning about HTTP.
There is a pattern here: browsers are incrementally adding warnings for HTTP, raising their expectations each month as the web moves further towards a fully-encrypted future.
So if you have not yet moved your site to HTTPS, you should really consider it.
This time the warnings are targeting login forms on insecure HTTP pages.
On any HTTP page, a new insecure password warning will appear directly below login fields when they become active (when a user clicks on/tabs to them). The warning makes sure any users will see the dangers of submitting data over HTTP.
The warning reads, “This connection is not secure. Logins entered here could be comprised.” The Learn More link goes to this Firefox support page.

The entire page will also receive the broken padlock icon which displays the same warnings when clicked.
If you want to see the warnings in your own browser visit http-login.badssl.com.
Google Chrome 57, which is due out next week, adds similar in-form warnings. Sims 2 how to install mods. In addition to password fields, Chrome also detects insecure credit card forms.
For now, auto-fill will continue to work on HTTP forms, but developers should expect this to change in the near future as browsers continue to restrict functionality on HTTP web pages in order to preserve user privacy.
Firefox developers noted that since enabling this feature by default in the Developer release, the number of HTTPS secured login forms increased from 40% to just about 75%.
Remember that ALL websites need to be HTTPS. Why? Because believe it or not, most sites expose some sort of personal information – be it search queries, passwords, etc. HTTPS also provides integrity guarantees, stops content injection, and allows you to use HTTP/2 which is lightning fast. Last night my Firefox Browser updated, but it asked me a question about allowing the update before proceeding, which I thought was odd, but continued, as it's Firefox. So now I'm on version 52 and I keep seeing a connection error:
I need to log into my PHPMyAdmin on Localhost but see this message first. How do I fix it?

This is a security feature in new versions of Firefox.
There is actually no error, this just warns you that the login information will be sent over a non-encrypted channel.
You can ignore this warning and logon nevertheless. This is okay, when working with logins on your own computer or when working with logins in your own private local network.
When the login form is on a server in the internet or some other public or workplace network, make sure to enable and use https for the site so that login information is not sent without encryption.

You can disable this feature in Firefox the following way (NOT advised!):
- Enter
about:config
into the address field. - Conform the warning that you want to change settings
- Enter
security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled
into the Search field - Double click the shown entry
security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled
to set it tofalse

My Husband can't browse the Web using his Firefox! It doesn't matter what Website he goes to, it always tells him that his Connection isn't Secure! This includes Websites like Facebook, Google, and the Website for his College! He can't even Google the Error Message which is 'SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER'
This seems to be a Problem with His Firefox cause I can visit the same Websites no Problem on Chrome! The Date and Time on this PC is Correct!
He's got 65.0 on Win7
Edit: He's got the same Problem in Safe Mode and after returning Firefox to Factory Default

Firefox Your Connection Is Not Secure Sec_error_unknown_issuer
I'm going insane.
Can someone please help me to COMPLETELY DISABLE the 'This Connection is Untrusted' page on Firefox.
Facts:
- I am running Firefox 23.0 on an Ubuntu machine (downloaded and installed ubuntu today)
- It is a work computer and I have to use my employer's proxy
- While visiting Webpages/webapps like Gmail or Google brings up the 'This Connection is Untrusted' page and I have to go through the whole tedious task of selecting 'I understand the Risks' and add Exceptions, etc. etc. The fact is, I don't care about the risks. I would rather this computer melt into the ground than have to see that page ever again. I want to dance naked in untrusted pages and not give a damn about the consequences. I just never want to see that page again. Ever.
- For some sites (eg. wikipedia), the css doesn't load and I end up seeing them in plain text. As a result these sites are completely useless. Wasted hours trying to solve this for stackoverflow.com.
- These issues happen on the Firefox on my Windows XP machine as well (also using the same proxy).
I don't want to export/import certificates or create exceptions for every site that shows this bloody page. I just want this page gone. I don't want Firefox to tell me what's safe and what's not.
Also, my system time and date are correct. I've also tried the lies on this page too with no good results.
Edit: I've also tried the whole going into the Advance->Certificates->validation setup page and unchecked 'Use the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) to confirm the current validity of certificates' checkbox. Nothing happened even after restarting firefox or rebooting.I need help.
Thanks.

It's a really dangerous thing to do, because you will not be able to detect a Man-in-the-middle attack anywhere (at home, on a public wifi..)
The solution is to add the root certificate used by your entreprise proxy as a trusted authority (CA) in your browser, as described here :
To obtain the proxy certificate, click on the lock icon near the URL of an HTTPS page, click 'View certificate', and on the windows click on your proxy's certificate (like here) then export it and proceed as explained above to import it as trusted CA.

If you're just looking to disable HTTPS error pages:
Go to Tools > Options > Advanced 'Tab'(?) > Encryption TabClick the 'Validation' button, and uncheck the checkbox for checking validity. Not recommended, but it should stop them from displaying.

I'd advise making sure your system time is correct, if it isn't, that could be triggering all the certificate errors.

If you install an older nVidia card (or possibly other brand) this error can happen as well.

It will automatically set your date and time back, for example, I just installed a 9600GT on a Windows 7 system and it put the time back to some time in 2008. Thus I got the certificate warnings in Firefox.
Changing the date and time back fixed it all.
